Implants are done to replace missing teeth. They are a permanent means of replacing lost or badly damaged teeth that have to be extracted. Implants are surgically placed into the bone. After a healing phase of usually four months, they are uncovered and restored with a crown. Implants can replace one or multiple teeth. Implants can also be used to add retention to dentures. Implants are an option more and more people are using today to replace teeth they may have lost many years ago !
